Touchscreen Solutions, in partnership with TechMedia, supports Metcash’s LocalEyes Retail Media screen rollout

Shoppers will notice new digital screens across many Metcash supported stores, serviced by LocalEyes, the company’s retail media network, thanks to a screen installation carried out by Touchscreen Solutions and TechMedia.

Touchscreen Solutions, operated by Touchscreen Innovations, along with TechMedia, which is part of PMY Group, are rapidly rolling-out digital screens across Metcash’s national independent retail footprint, including brands such as IGA, IGA Local Grocer, Cellarbrations, The Bottle-O, Thirsty Camel, Mitre 10, Total Tools and Home Hardware.

The LocalEyes screen network has quickly expanded from approximately 30 screens in January 2025 to 750 screens nationally today. The pace of the rollout highlights Metcash’s emergence as a serious player in retail media, bringing independent retailers onboard at scale.

The screen network supports dynamic content including brand messaging, promotions and retail media campaigns delivered directly to shoppers at the point of purchase. David Vilensky, Director of Touchscreen Solutions, said the partnership with TechMedia has been key to delivering a scalable and reliable digital infrastructure solution for Metcash’s retail media network.

“The close collaboration between Touchscreen Solutions and TechMedia has been instrumental in bringing this project to life. Together we’ve created a solution designed to support Metcash’s diverse retail environments while creating a flexible network that can grow and evolve across stores nationally.

“What excites us about the LocalEyes proposition is that it delivers value back to local, independent retailers, giving them access to high-quality retail media infrastructure typically reserved for major chains,” he said.

TechMedia General Manager Dan Carrapetta said, “Our partnership with Touchscreen Solutions and long-term agreement with Metcash reinforces a strong existing collaboration and highlights TechMedia’s capability to deliver durable, easy-to manage commercial screen solutions,” he said.

“We’re also proud to offer our customers 24/7 support, based out of Sydney, which reduces disruptions and the need for on-site servicing. We’ve worked closely and meticulously with the highly experienced Metcash team for many years and are impressed with their expertise and commitment to delivering a best-in-class retail media ecosystem for the independent network. We’re pleased to see our screens effectively engaging shoppers in stores all over Australia.”

Mark Lollback, General Manager of LocalEyes Retail Media, Metcash, said: “This agreement reflects our ongoing investment in technology and the growth of LocalEyes. Digital screens will help brands better connect to local shoppers instore at the point of purchase.”
