Wynscreen is Sydney’s newest public art installation. You can find this twenty three metre long and three metre high, curved and uniquely shaped LED screen at the Clarence Street entrance to Wynyard Station within the new connective tunnel between Wynyard and Barangaroo.
Wynscreen combines art, culture and technology to create a series of visual experiences for over 30 000 people walking past it every single day!
This captivating moving image art explores time, travel and history. Showcasing a diverse range of specially commissioned works by a variety of Australian Artists, Animators, Designers and Choreographers.
Wynscreen has been a culmination of a long period of work by the creative and cultural agency Cultural Capital for Transport for NSW. Bringing quality art into the public domain like this is a massive and bold project.
In June this year TechMedia was commissioned to supply and install Scala Content Manager along with a number of Scala players each with multiple video outputs to run the UHD, curated moving image artworks.
Set your alarm. Running late for the train is not about getting out of bed in time. It’s now about how much time you spend in front of the Wynscreen. Audience engagement is the aim here and you will want to stop and stare at this magnificent brilliance of innovation and technology.
