THE VIDEO REFEREE SYSTEM

The video referee system is a hardware and software platform developed by Techmedia to integrate with a stadiums in-house video production system. The system is portable and easily operated by the Video Referee via a simple interactive interface.

When it comes time to make a decision, the referee watches the replays on a video monitor before choosing the appropriate decision and sending it to the stadium super screen as a full resolution dynamic 3D animation. These animations can be as simple or as complex as required and include sound FX if desired.

The Video referee system is a great sponsorship opportunity for any sporting organization. In most cases the video referee decision is very integral the the flow of the game and is often the difference between winning and loosing the game. The television broadcaster will generally focus on the stadium’s super screen in order to convey the decision made to the audience at home. One could say that everybody at the stadium and watching on television is glued to the screen during the decision process. This can be a very valuable soft advertising opportunity.
