The route paths can be created and aniamted in various ways. Keyframes can be used to define the route from any starting point to any end point.

You can determine the speed of the route drawing, change the brush colour and width, create stop-points and label them (for instance, with city names). Use the included 3D objects, such as cars aeroplanes, arrows and pencils, to draw the route on-screen.

Columbus can automatically create multi-part scenes based on your stop-points when rendering. Special effects inside Columbus can be applied to a position on the screen, such as the stop point on a map, from which the following video scene can be zoomed, rotated or faded in.
Thanks to Columbus, the days when you had to deal with maps, felt-tip pens and other tricks are now gone.
