SpiceRack effects are 2D, mask-based transitions, easy-to-use, fast to produce and creatively satisifying. The supplied masks have been carefully designed to provide genuinely useful effects that complement and enhance your production, not distract or over-complicate.

Video SpiceRack is based on masks from Pixélan Software. 200 of the best masks have been selected from their effects palette, licensed and adapted for Casablanca.
To use these masks, MacroSystem has created a set of 8 different specialized effects, the Video Mask Effects (VME), plus 5 transitions and 3 image-processing filters. These effects have been developed by MacroSystem Digital Video AG and are packaged with the Video SpiceRack masks.

Every VME-effect has access to all 200 included Video SpiceRack masks, which offers a nearly unlimited number of options.
If you have installed other products which use masks, for example the Liquid-Images pack, then all these masks are available for shared use via the Image Pool.

VME Wipe
|
This effect blends one scene into the next. You can select the effect mask and width of the border.
|

VME Border Wipe
|
This transition dissolves one scene to another, preceeded by a colored or patterned border. You can specify the effect mask, border width, border type and border colour/pattern.

VME Color Wipe
|
This transition dissolves a burst of color or a pattern into a second scene and then back again. You can select the type of effect mask, the border (choose colour or pattern) and direction of the dissolve.

VME Split Screen
|
This effect dissolves from one scene to the next (and optionally back again) while both scenes play simutaneously. You can adjust the effect mask, the border width and the direction of the movement.

VME Border Split Screen
|
This transition brings in the next scene within a masked border, plays the two scenes simultaneously and then the bordered scene expands across the screen, completing the transition. You can select the type of effect mask, the border and the movement.

|
This effect blends a scene into a coloured or a patterned mask and then blends back to the scene. You can select the type of effect mask, the border (colour or pattern) and direction of the dissolve.

|
