PC to Casablanca
While transferring pictures, PC-Link automatically converts them to Casablanca's own format. If needed, they are additionally scaled.
You can choose between single pictures, picture-sequences, AVI files (incl. audio) or MPEG data: PC-Link converts them all and sends them to Casablanca, where you they can be the same way as any other media in the Casablanca environment.
Images an be read as a numbered sequences and transferred as single pictures, fields or frames (field-rendering). Each picture can be sent with an alpha-mask to define areas of transparency.
You can also let PC-Link transfer pictures automatically; e.g.: When saving pictures from a ray-tracing program
Casablanca to PC
When sending single pictures or entire scenes from Casablanca to the PC, PC-Link is limited to using picture formats capable of true color. Scenes area saved either as a numbered sequence of picture files, an AVI file or an MPEG-II data-stream on the PC.
PC-Link supports a large amount of different picture formats such as JPEG, TIFF, BMP, PCX, Kodak, WMF, PhotoShop, PNG, Targa, EPS, Macintosh Pict) and video formats such as MPEG and AVI.
